Crossject, a leading-edge technology consisting of
2 sub-assemblies

The expertise accumulated by Crossject resulted in the creation of two separate subassemblies: the Actuator, that generates pressure, and the Pharmaceutical Subassembly that comes in contact with the drug and whose materials are 100% compliant with pharmacopeia.
1 - An actuator

Made of a safe, reliable and customizable gas generator coming from the airbag and space industries.

Through a controlled and proven chemical reaction process, the Crossject injector, ZENEO®, creates a pressure profile specifically suited to the needle-free injection of drugs.

Unlike other technologies, the gas is generated at the time of the injection in a controlled manner to deliver the pressure profile that will allow the medicine to penetrate the skin tissue and to be correctly distributed in a few milliseconds.

2 - A pharmaceutical Sub-Assembly

Comprising drug container and nozzle.

The drug container, close in shape to that of the syringe body, is made of a highly resistant type-I glass; the 2 rubber stoppers are similar to those found on traditional syringes and currently used by the pharmaceutical industry.

The injector’s nozzle, manufactured with polycarbonate plastic, can contain one or more orifices. The number, size and shape of the orifices can be adapted according to the quantity and viscosity of the product to be injected.

The pharmaceutical subassembly comes pre-assembled, sterile and ready to fill; it and can be filled aseptically on standard high throughput syringe filling machines.
